Fields of Experience

Joe Lundeen brings skills in client management, engineering and communications from work centering on the natural gas and petrochemical industries.  Joe has a strong background with air-related environmental issues and with engineering and project management for gas treating/processing projects.  He also functions as a particularly strong advocate for his clients, and has functioned as an on-site extension of clients’ staff.  Some of Mr. Lundeen’s areas of experience are:

  • Project management of plant expansions (e.g., CO2 processing plant expansion)
  • Supercritical CO2 dehydration, CO2 condensation and pumping, CO2 processing
  • H2S scavenging system design, chemical selection, optimization
  • Small-scale sulfur recovery processes (e.g., CrystaSulf, Paques, Direct Oxidation)
  • Process design & preparation of Process Design Packages (PDPs)
  • Bid review and comparison
  • Engineering cost estimates for process plants
  • Air quality / pollution control equipment evaluation and selection
  • Air quality regulations (PSD, Title V, NSR)
  • Flue gas desulfurization for coal-fired power plants (mist eliminators, process troubleshooting, stack sampling, performance additive [DBA] testing, simulation using FGD Prism)
  • Process simulation (ASPEN Plus, WinSIM)
